National Service Scheme (NSS)
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a public service program in India, launched in 1969, the centenary year of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth. It is run by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and is primarily aimed at developing the personality and character of students through voluntary community service.

The unit was first approved with 50 volunteer seats, but because of its active participation and increasing student involvement, it has grown to 100 seats. In the spirit of "Not Me But You," the unit regularly engages in social, environmental, and awareness-raising activities under the direction of Program Officer Ms. Ayushi Roy.
